World Expo '70 Commemorative Pewter Coin
Issued for the World's Fair held in Osaka, Japan in 1970 by Shigaura Electric Co, this 1000Y coin is made of pewter and was valid for $1 worth of Fair rides, attractions, and food at the Fair and surrounding businesses. The reverse is an image of the Electric plant demonstration area at the Fair with five rings in a flower pattern logo for the Expo. It has become a collector's coin with the limited distribution and subject matter increasing popularity. This commemorative coin is approximately 1.25 inches diameter (32 mm). This commemorative World Expo coin has been carefully stored for over 40 years!
