Lake Placid 1980 XIII Olympic Winter Games Set of 7 Coke Bottles 10 oz
10 ounce tall bottles were produced from 1976 to 1992 in very limited quantities making them some of the most collectible Coke bottles around. In 1980 the Winter Olympics were held in Lake Placid, NY with American teams doing very well in various winter sports. 10 ounce tall bottles were produced for 7 events: Figure Skating, Alpine Skiing, Men's Speed Skating, Women's Speed Skating, Men's Nordic Skiing Cross-County, Women's Nordic and Nordic Skiing Jumping. Each glass bottle features the raccoon mascot with final records for each events. These great Olympic bottles are 10 ounce and stand 9.75 inches. There are marks in the labels common to these bottle which mark the beginning of using ACL (applied color lettering) to glass. No perfect labels were produced with this technique in its infancy. Glass 10 ounce bottles are full with cap showing some wear consistent with the age.
