C005B-1929   $1.25   Indian Head Buffalo Nickel 1929 No Mintmark Grade G - Indian Head Nickels, or Buffalo Nickels as they are more commonly called, are some of the most popular collectible coins for kids and beginning coin collectors. Issued from 1913 to 1938 (except for 1922, 1932, 1933), these five cent coins were designed by James Fraser in accordance with the wishes of President Theodore Roosevelt to create more American themes on coins. F for Fraser appears just below the date which was easily obliterated through extensive circulation as it was higher than the edge. Buffalo nickel value is determined by the ability to read a date on the front and the condition of the buffalo's tail and horn on the reverse. Even 5 cent coins with unreadable dates are considered collectible. The mintmark is on the reverse of this US coin below the words five cents. This nickel coin contains 75% copper and 25% nickel. C010-1942S   $9.99   Winged Liberty Head Mercury Dime 1942 Mintmark S Grade AU - Considered by many to be one of the most beautiful US coins ever produced, Winged Liberty Head dimes or more commonly Mercury dimes do not depict the Roman messenger god, nor does it contain any mercury. It pictures Liberty with a winged cap on the obverse and two sheaves of wheat on the reverse. Of particular interest to numismatists is the condition of the horizontal bands tying together the bundle on the reverse.
